About Janie

Hi! My name is Janie! I’m originally from Alaska and moved to VA several years ago. I love this area and am excited to continue to establish my career here in Harrisonburg, VA!

I pursued an education at Paul Mitchell in Roanoke VA. Since obtaining my cosmetology license, I started my career at a training salon. I had the privilege of being mentored by 3-4 master stylists for over a year. I have had such a great time over the last 5 years getting to grow in my skill and I love my clientele! I’m looking forward to servicing more clients and continuing to grow my business in my personalized private studio at Pure Art Salon and Spa Studios.

I discovered my passion for the  hair industry by assisting with  bridal parties. I love to do weddings and formal hair! Besides weddings, I specialize  in blonding and color. I am always pursuing and learning the latest trends in color.
